A great fan of painting since her childhood, Núria has always been a great fan of the plastic arts. Although she defines herself as self-taught, she attended classes with the renowned painter José Coll Sotomayor and during her youth, she took monographic courses at the School of Arts and Crafts in Palma de Mallorca.
in 1988 she had her first exhibition at the old Art Viu Gallery.
The journaist Josep Mascaró Passarius wrote in the Diario de Baleares..." the old houses of Bálitx gilded for centuries, captured with ease and grace in line and colour by Núria Suñer"...
From here, she has exhibited in almost the entire island since 1989. An her hobby began to turn into a profession.
In 2003, she began pedagogical activity in schools , having her own drawing academy through wich hundreds of students have passed
In 2021, and after a long period without painting. Núria has foud herself again and has returned with more strengh and colour, and undoubtedly influenced by her long career in the education sector.
Nuria Suñer is in love with mallorca, the place where she was born and evolved as a person and an artist. Her current works reflect her passion and her feelings through the Mediterranean tones and the very special light of this island . With her impressionist painting, every brushstroke is pure feeling.
Withdrawn from her academic activity, Núria offers three-day workshops to begin or improve an technique.
Nowadays Núria paints out of passion and commissioned. She enjoys painting in oil and graphitr, she also does pastel and portraits , although she is open to any other technique.
